Here for our community -
not party politics.

Having served as Member of Parliament for Kitchener Centre from 2021 to 2025, Mike has proven what’s possible when we put community ahead of politics.

From:

  • pushing for tariff action that protects workers and businesses in our community,
  • to proposing new ideas to make housing affordable,
  • to securing millions in new shelter funding,
  • to making the Canada Disability Benefit a reality.

He’s stood up for our community – working together with members of all parties to get results on the issues that matter most to people in Kitchener Centre.

Now he’s ready to do it again by seeking the nomination to represent Kitchener Centre.

A note from Mike

Friends,I love this community. It’s why it was the honour of my lifetime to serve as your federal Member of Parliament for four years.

In that time, I was amazed at the many opportunities afforded to me to bring your concerns to Ottawa, and make life better for folks in our community – from winning a new federal benefit for folks with disabilities, to speaking up for human rights around the world, to successfully proposing new ideas to make life more affordable for people in our community.

But the truth is – we were only just getting started. From tackling rising grocery prices to securing more affordable housing and a safe climate future for our kids, we still have so much to fight for.

The issues we were up against haven’t subsided. In fact, most are only getting worse as the current government retreats from efforts to reduce wealth inequality, cuts the public services we all benefit from, and erodes labour rights.

As for me: I still have the fire in my belly.

It’s why I want you to know – I will be running again, to once again serve as our community’s voice in Ottawa.

I hope you’ll join me in it.

Mike
